Because Democrats create problems then pretend to fix them while lining the pockets of their donors.
Ted Kennedy invented HMOs now he wants to "fix" them.
Those were different people of a different time, with different circumstances. Not comparable.
cause now their wallet is fat and they are trying to cause a problem for the next person to fail at by creating so many issues that arent fixable without getting rid of them.
Maybe Ted was trying to find new friends 5 years after he left his mistress to drown and die a horrible death, without ever being held accountable in any fashion. Except for his decades of alcoholism arising from the demons in his head that kept telling him he is a murderer.
We did, do, and always will support extending health care to as many people as possible. It’s too bad that your side opposes that.
Probably because HMO’s have had 36 years since then to do right by their policy holders, but they’ve failed miserably. They jack up premiums, then deny claims or rescind coverage the minute someone gets sick. Over 3 decades of lousy and corrupt business practices kind of makes a point with the voters. They’ve had their chance, and blew it repeatedly. We need another option.

it was a completely different world in 1973. We were fighting Vietnam back then and today we are fighting Iraq and Afghanistan. Back then Nixon was the President and today we have Obama. a lot happens in 36 years
