Educate people. Filing an insurance claim means understanding many types of insurance, piles and piles of paperwork, and having to track and fight for what you are due.

Insurance doesn’t actually pay what provider charges. they have negotiated contracts, that’s why your copay is smaller if you stay "in network."
For example: I’m working ER right now (as med student) and if you go in cash pay and get a cat scan you will be charged about $300 for the visit and $1200 for an emergency cat scan. half off you only pay $750. The insurance company pays $75 per patient visit no matter what tests are done. The insurance isn’t the ones getting ripped off. it’s the uninsured.
