Alѕο wουld thеу give hіm laughing gas οr something tο саlm hіm down аt thе dentist.I know hе′s going tο bе terrifed.
Depending on how big the chip is – if it is small probably nothing. If the nerve is exposed your family dentist would probably refer you to a Pedodontist (child specialist) for such a young child. If the child doesn’t appear to be in any discomfort then watch the area – particularly the gum under the lip and fairly high up to see if a "pimple" or white bubble develops – if this appears then the tooth has suffered major trauma and may need extraction. Your best bet is see your family dentist who will have a look – if necessary an x-ray may be required but this will be tough to get on such a young child – it would probably be more of a peace of mind visit at this stage.
I don’t think they’d remove it. I’d take him to the dentist, though, so they can check for nerve damage, which could affect the new tooth that would come in and/or cause extreme pain if there’s an exposed nerve.
Depends on how much of the tooth was damaged, if the nerve ending was damaged it could need to be pulled since it could be dying. Dead teeth are pretty ugly. If it’s just a small chip then the doctor could build it up. It’s not at all noticeable.
If you haven’t already you should take him to see a dentist.
My son had a chipped tooth and they shaved the rest of his tooth down to make a nice staright line…its a baby tooth so no worries! If it is his adult tooth they can use a filler.
I don’t think they would do anything, if it needs to be filed down so it isnt sharp then they might do that. But they will just let it go until it falls out naturally.
very minimal would be performed. more likely the dentist would just smooth out the chip or put in a composite.
i wouldnt do anything to his teeth cuz they will just fall out in a few years so dont worry about it
