When I went last, cleaning the junk in between your gums. They use like a hyrosonic water pick my god it hurt like heck. I was spiting out blood. They could of backed off on that. If you don’t floss, etc it’s going to hurt b/c your teeth/gums are not used to that much pressure on them. If you take good care of them they won’t have to use tools to get rid of the stuff you did not get your self an there fore less pain to deal with.
The billing of the work done on your teeth and the 2nd most painful thing is when the dentist sticks his finger into your mouth and you bite down on it with all of the force you can mustard up..
and watch your pain being transferred to the dentist face.. only then do you experience ecstasy or pass out from pure pleasure..
Trust me… Revenge is sweet..
The most painful part is the bill. The scariest is when the insurance company refuses to pay it.

The needles do not hurt, trust me. A couple minutes after you get the novocaine shot you get all numb so it doesn’t matter anyway. I’ve had braces, retainer, headgear, lots of fillings, a root canal, and just now my wisdom teeth removed. I just hate getting fillings for cavities because sometimes the amount of novocaine they give me isn’t enough, and I hate the smell when they are drilling. Root canal was surprisingly very easy, it was quick and no pain at all. Wisdom teeth, I was asleep when they did it. Afterwards I got dry socket, THAT is painful, I had to take Percocet every 4 hours even at night. I woke myself up every 4 hours to take more so the pain wouldn’t come back and hit me hard. Ortho work isn’t that bad but having braces for 4 years sucks. Oh and I’ve also had microdermabrasion, I think, it’s a cosmetic thing though. It was to try and remove the white spots on two of my teeth from the braces. That wasn’t really painful, just kind of uncomfortable. Hope this information helped you!
I am needlephobic so I always have a hard time getting the novocaine. If you can get nitrous oxide, you won’t care about anything after that. Just have them gas you first. That stuff changed my WHOOOOLE perspective on going to the dentist.
Honestly, if you have to pay for dental work, THAT is the most painful part. And they sock it to you right after you get out of the chair.
Anyway, take care of your teeth and address problems early rather than late. If you are only going to the dentist in an emergency, there will be a lot more pain involved having anything done.
Your experiences to pain, all depend on the dentist. Not all dentists are painful, it depends how good they numb you up. Yes needles do tend to hurt for the most part, but only for a second or 2. Otherwise i’ve never had a bad experiences, not with my current dentist at least.
