What can a dentist do about a chipped premolar tooth?
Hi,
Mу upper rіght second premolar tooth chipped last week whеn I wаѕ eating аt thе very edge, іt wаѕ causing a lot οf pain until аbουt 2 days ago іt јυѕt ѕtοрреd. I аm going tο thе dentist today аnd I wanted tο know whаt wіll a dentist dο аbουt іt, саn thеу јυѕt simply fill thе area? Or іѕ іt a more complicated procedure?
Thanks.
If there is enough tooth left it will be filled with a bonded filling. If the tooth is weakened by a larger chip, it may need to be strengthened and protected with a porcelain crown. Good luck.
The dentist will most likely repair it with a composite resign restoration.
They can just fill it. It depends on how bad it is. If any root damage has been done you may be looking at a more complex approach.
