Can someone please explain me the difference between discounted dental plan and dental insurance? Which one is better? I am so confused.

Group insurance is high, and yet they are better then private, I just cant afford it. I would like to find a coverage that was relatively cheaper, that will cover pre exst. cond. and somewhat PPO.

I am in desperate need of a dentist, i have been in agony for 3 weeks now. I have no money but i have an HMO dental plan that covers a good amount of things (i think, im not really an expert on that) I need help badly, i need ALOT of work done but this one tooth is seriously killing me. Are there any dentist out there that will accept an HMO as paid in full?
