I have a few medical bills in collections and a few people have told me that when you try to get a loan or credit card or something of that effect then they dont really look badly at medical bills. I was just wondering if this was true? This is like the major bad things on my credit right now! Please help!
i heard that medical bills could not be included and doesnt affect your credit rating. Is that true???? I pay my credit cards, mortgage and car on time every month, but I have alot of medical bills and I pay a little each month on all the medical bil. they still send it to collections because I dont pay the full amounts and I owe alot. Is that going to mess up credit rating? Is there anythign that I can do to fix this ??? Please help.
I need healthcare and I have insurance but I’m a college kid and I don’t have any money whatsoever even to pay the 25% or whatever for my medical bills after insurance. I’ve been getting medical bills and some are about to go to collections. Don’t tell me to pay them ’cause I can’t.
What can I do to not mess up my credit score? Will the hospitals be willing to extend deadlines if I ask to pay them a month or something? Any other suggestions?
"None payment of medical bills do not effect your credit, even in collections. "
I don’t think you are right, I have a bill on my credit with Experian that I didn’t think collection would report so I didn’t bother to pay.
I have some medical bills that are unpaid and have went to collections (about 00), I do not have a job at the moment but I do have a savings and checking account with a few hundred dollars in them. Can their collections seize my bank accounts?
We don’t have insurance. He’s been to urgent care and the e.r. tons of times, and his medical bills have never gone into collections when they went unpaid. But I go 3 times in the last 8 years and all of mine got sent into collections. It doesn’t make sense to me, even though we have gone to the same hospitals.
On September 29th, 2006 I was rear-ended by a drunk driver. He left the scene before the cops showed up. They tracked him down by his licence plate he left.
I have over 00 in medical bills and his insurance says it ‘is going to take some time to verify these bills - in the mean time you need to pay them - they are your financial responsibility.
