never having bought dental insurance before can be scary, anyone have any tips to avoid misunderstandings, and high costs, and things like this ? Corporations clearly can trick people to get into their pocket books big time, so what are some things to look out for and avoid when you have never bought dental insurance before? (In California if it matters)

Well A cobra plan out here cost around 400 a month, and when you are only getting around 1100 a month it kinda puts things in perspective in what you can afford.
I have searched and I can’t find a good dental insurance because most of them are cheap ones, 100 a month and only cover 20%. I need one that can cover more than that, and I don’t care how much I will be paying. If anyone knows of any good companies with high coverage let me know please.
I have health insurance but dental is not included. I am looking for a dental policy only.

What is the best health insurance and life insurance policies to go with?
I am recently out of the military and need to purchase an individual health ins policy. However, I am not sure which ones are the best. I am a student, do they offer any good student policies? Also, is the SGLI to VGLI conversion a good change to make? If not, which is better term or whole life insurance policies?
If you work full-time, how much of the cost is paid by your employer? Are family members covered in your health insurance policy? And, are you experiencing yearly increases of health insurance with less benefits. Is the cost of health insurance affecting your personal budget or standard of living?
Anything else you might like to add would be appreciated.
It’s like it’s impossible to get dental insurance without going through your employer. My teeth are in bad condition and growing up, I don’t recall my parents ever taking me to the dentist even once. I’m twenty years old and I want and need to start taking better care of myself. I can’t get any kind of insurance through my employer because they simply don’t schedule me for enough hours to be eligible for something like that. So where am I supposed to go?
Is it OK to have just the health care program and not have the Health Insurance Plan? I can get Health care program for half the monthly premium as compared to the Health Insurance Plan. Please advise? Is it advisable?
