I am presently on a COBRA plan with my health insurance, which is still ongoing, but my COBRA dental insurance runs out at the end of this month. The company (Blue Cross Blue Shiled) told me that they don’t offer dental in itself. I’m presently a student and don’t have options through a company. Is it possible to get dental insurance on its own from a provider? I imagine that this is the case, but I was hoping that people could lead me in the right direction!

I am no longer insuranced on my parents dental plan. Where can i find low cost Insurance

I just gave birth to my first little one on April 4 and I have to notify my insurance company to add her to my health insurance. My question is, should I worry about adding her to dental insurance right now?? I can change my benefits again in late December (she’ll be about 8 or 9 months)-can I just wait to add her until then you think? Thanks!

I compared the co pays on several reputable dental insurance companies and it is very expensive. Many things are not covered, even with the best dental insurance. Health insurance is usually a 10 dollar co pay for primary physicians and a 35-50 dollar co pay for specialty physicians. Is there any reason why dental insurance co pay is as expensive as it is?

Is there any dental insurance worth purchasing if you don’t have it through your employer? My mom is always needing cavity fills and root canals. She takes good care of her teeth, she just isn’t blessed with good ones- no lectures on dental care, brushing regularly, etc, please.

She does not get dental insurance through her employer and is always having to use credit cards or pay out of pocket to get dental work done.

Are there any private or individual policies worth purchasing?
