My take on it is that the proposed plan will basically expand on Medicare. (which is bankrupt).
What will happen is we will ration care, and increase taxes.
From what I understand the bulk of it will have to be paid by small busineses. Labor Unions will be exempt. That is his people and he will not ask them for more money.
It helps the poor who don’t want insurance, but don’t think they can afford it. It helps the middle class who don’t need insurance and can stay afloat if an emergency comes around. It doesn’t hurt the rich too much, although their taxes will go up. Who it will really hurt are the lower middle class and lower class who have health insurance, because they need it (IE, sick child). They already can barely afford insurance. Now, the prices will increase to 2-4 times the current rate, and if they had health care provided by their employers, then they will have to pay for it themselves.
This will create an extremely poor class of citizens with sick children. Sounds like fun!
A decision will not be made until August. I am against any mandatory health-care plan that we are going to be forced to join into.
I have a friend who is dying of cancer because her insurance company cancelled her. She has lost her home and all of her savings.
If the Obama plan goes through, maybe she will live long enough to get chemo therapy and eventually be able to work again.
it wont necessarily hurt all taxpayers..some taxpayers would benefitbecause not everyone has insurance..this will hurt the elderly, and the people that have private insurance for people that work for larger companies….it will hurt EVERYONE in the way that our healthcare quality will decline incredibly…the government will control medical personnel wages causing many to quit and therefore causing jo schmos to be to giving healthcare…it will take a year to get a gallblatter taken out. 2 years to get heart surgery because you will have to wait in line….the taxpayers will have to pay for many lowlife deadbeats to have insurance that is the same as thier own when the deadbeats do not do anything to deserve it and the elderly will likely be taken off and told to go to die..there is a page in this bill that tell seniors ways to commit suicide….its going to be very bad for the country as a whole….other countries have tried this and it almost broke them…they have told the US not to try this bit the democrats have to try so here we go…
what he claims he wants to fix is not the truth he wants complete control of the medical industry and to ran by the government what do you think he was talking about in his campaign when he wanted to start an army Community service and it is a national duty.
The problem with skyrocketing medical insurance is the government does not reimburse hospitals for illegal aliens they allow into this country they don’t reimburse hospitals for the working pore that can’t qualify for government assistance and that can’t afford medical treatment they don’t allow hospitals to turn people away if they can’t pay for it. Medicare and Medicaid don’t pay enough to cover their costs so hospitals and doctors raise prices to cover the non paying customers
I see it the government has created most of the problems the medical industry is facing making the government a single payer there’s no incentive to reduce the cost from the hospitals pharmaceutical companies and doctors when the government becomes the single payer the only way they’ll be able to control costs is to decline medical treatment decline expensive treatment. or fix the price to point that hospitals doctors and pharmaceuticals can’t make a profit and go out of business and then I guess the government can seize full control of the medical profession in this country just like the Soviet union your doctor will be a government employee what type of treatment you think you’ll get will it be like going to the DMV wait in line for an hour get a number weight for another hour to get saying when you get saying you will be with a government employee has just out of college that has no idea what they’re doing if you think that’s good maybe his health plan is for you . if you consider 80% of Americans are satisfied with Healthcare in America were going through all this for the minority 20% no thanks I like to keep what I have changed some laws How insurance companies sell insurance how their allowed to cancel policies and who the government will reimburse treatment or allow hospital to deny treatment other than emergency life saving treatment .if you choose not to have insurance that’s fine don’t expect somebody to cover it when you are perfectly capable
