I’m taking mу dad tο thе dentist аnd I want tο know hοw long іt wіll take. Thіѕ іѕ hіѕ first trip tο thе dentist іn 8 years ѕο hе′s going tο hаνе a cleaning, аnd xrays аnd thеу аrе going tο dο a filling tο. Anyone know hοw long thіѕ wіll take аnd whether οr nοt I wіll hаνе time tο gο shopping whіlе hе′s thеrе?
i need tο gο shopping fοr a birthday present ѕіnсе today іѕ mу οnlу day οff. thе mall іѕ located асrοѕѕ thе street frοm thе dentist’s office.
the least amount of time you will have is probably an hour, just to be sure, why dont you ask the dentist or one of the hygenist, they should know about how long it will take
You want to go shopping? Why don’t you stay there so if he needs something you can be there? It’ll probaly take an hour but really, why don’t you stay!
depends what you are shopping for…
usually Dental office time varies depends on patient traffic
waiting takes 10~15min
then prep / xray takes about 5~10min
regular teeth clean about 10~15min
deep cleaning about 1~2hours
No more than 2 hours.
You should just stay there. Typically, when you take someone to a doctor or dentist and they will be having anesthesia, even a local, you need to stay there in case the patient has a reaction. Even if he has never had a reaction before doesn’t mean he can’t develop a sensitivity to it. I developed one to dental anesthesia and now need someone to take me to and from dental appointments.
It’s going to take a pretty long time since he need all of that stuff done.
Call the dental office and find out. They schedule appointments very carefully and will have allotted a specific amount of time. Unlike physicians, dental offices are very anal about working to their scheduled times. Barring something completely unforeseen, they will be able to tell exactly how long your Dad’s appointment will be.
I would say 30 – 45 minutes for the cleaning since he hasn’t been there in about 8 years. Then about 10 minutes for the topical gel to numb the gumline and another 5 minutes for the full numbness then about 10 minutes for the filling itself. I would estimate about 1 & 1/2 hours to 2 hours total. I wouldn’t see any harm in going across the street to get a gift. Just make it back quickly incase the dentist runs into any problems.
About an hour or less. Ask at the dentist’s office, they can tell you.
I would guess no more than 2 hours as typically that’s as long as they want someone in one sitting.
can take up to 2.5 hours and it will be at least 45min-1hr
