How do I talk a dentist into extracting my abscessed tooth instead of pushing for a root canal?
abscessed top back molar bееn infected fοr over 3 years. Bееn tο dentist аftеr dentist whο refuses tο extract іt. Thеу want tο give mе a root canal instead. Sο fοr 3 years thе οnlу positive thing I gοt out οf аnу dentist wаѕ prescribed antibiotics аnd surgically draining thе abscess. Very frustrating dentist аrе out fοr thе money instead οf patient wishes! Sο whаt dο I dο pretend nο insurance οr try tο find a dentist frοm Mexico whο wіll extract іt?
I can not question another dentist’s diagnosis without seeing the problem myself, but realize that you are the patient and while the doctor can suggest what is best it is your decision as to what treatment you receive. I do not think you should have too much trouble finding a dentist who is willing to extract your tooth for you. If you go to GoAheadAndSmile.com there is a free report on my website that has the top 10 questions you should ask when choosing a dentist that is right for you. Please let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

You cannot be forced into any treatment nor can you be denied any reasonable treatment. If you tell a dentist that you cannot afford a root canal and cannot be taking antibiotics, and you want to have the tooth removed, I’m sure you will find a dentist that would do the extraction. good luck.
Just tell them you can’t afford it. My son just dealt with that. They wanted to do a root canal and crown. He can’t afford either let alone both. I told him to tell them to pull it and that he knows he may have to have it replaced, he knows the options for that, and how long he can wait. They pulled it.
