How can I get my dentist to stop hitting my bottom lip?
Anytime a dentist dοеѕ work οf аnу kind οn mу jaw teeth, I moan аnd hе ѕауѕ sorry, thеn I point tο mу bottom lip! Thе tool hе uses always ends up bruising mу bottom lip. Nο matter whаt dentist I gο tο. Hοw саn I gеt thеm tο find a way nοt tο hit mу bottom lip οr even mу bottom teeth?
Tell them to situation. Let them know it is painful and to avoid doing it.
Let him know in a nice way before he starts the procedure. If you are too shy to let the Dr. know yourself, you can always let the receptionist know and she’ll put the information inside your history folder.
Let your dentist know before he starts doing anything that your bottom lip is sensitive and if he could just try not to bother it too much you would appreciate it.
If you have a tendancy to close your mouth a bit when the dentist is working then your lip may get in the way. Ask the dentist to use a mouth prop – this way you relax your jaw onto the prop and your mouth stays open as far as necessary. Also some people just can’t seem to avoid moving their lips around when we are working and that way sometimes the lip gets in the way of the instruments. Best thing is to ask about using a mouth prop.
communicate,tell them to stop.
