Back in California where I am from I had a great Health insurance agent. He took care of everything. My health insuranc, home insurance, life insurance and auto Insurance. I get to Houston Texas and find out that most agents either deal with home and auto or life and health insurance. I now have a freat home and auto insurance agent but he does not deal with health insurance. His reason. He does not have time to keep updated with current trends in health insurance so he does not believe he would be a good health agent. I appreciate his honest but it kinda leaves me hanging. Does anyone have any agents they can recommend?

How do I know if my health insurance covers a certain procedure?

I am curious whether my insurance covers Gynecomastia gland excision surgery, usually thought of as a cosmetic procedure. I know very few insurance companies cover this, but I was wondering if mine did. I have Empire plan insurance in NYC (I have it through my father who works for the government? I am only 18 so I am unsure how this all works).

I dont have much money these days…and I have been holding off on dental work for the longest time. Im 28 years old, and my Aunt, that I grew up seeing my whole life, up until she got married, moved away – her husband went to dental school. Now she and her husband have 5 kids (wow! I know – very happy large family) Unfortunately, I have really had no contact with them over the last 8 years.

Would I dare ask if they could give me a discount doing some work? He OWNS his own practice. What do you think/advise?

My mom has an abscess in her mouth and the dentist isnt sure if her insurance pays for root canals so right?

now she just gave her anti biotics and pain killers for 7 days only. what will the anti biotics do for it? how soon should she really have it drained or a root canal done? what could happen after 7 days when shes not taking them anymore and waiting for a root canal?

also, is it common to have the chills and feel feverish with an abscess?
