rigorous exercise program. This is especially true for older
people and people that are overweight. Any exercise is one of
the best things you can do for your body and mind.

weight you will lose.

lungs and circulatory system. Studies have shown that is reduces
the risk of breast and colon cancer. It has a beneficial effect
on the immune system.
It raises the level of good cholesterol and therefore protects
the heart and circulatory system. Recent studies have found that
the least active men had more heart failures and more were
fatal. The most active men had not only fewer attacks, but their
chances of survival were greater.
Builds Endurance and Confidence--Walking makes you more
fit. You confidently perform your job and increase your work
output. You can enjoy recreational activities without
overexerting your heart. Most people will see improvement in
mood and reduction in stress.
Increases Thinking Skills--A 45 minute walk a day at a 16
mile pace increased the thinking skills found a study by the
National Council on Aging.
Feel and look better--Walking or exercise stimulates
circulation, tones the muscles and makes you feel better. It
reduces the hips and thighs, firms sagging muscles and flattens
your stomach. People in good condition will be more active
sexually. If you look and feel better, you gain confidence and
feel more attractive.
Walking or exercise should be part of a health plan. Regular
exercise, consistently week to week and year in and out, is what
will make your exercise successful. Walking is easy to start and
