Am i able to get a medical cannabis card while in the C.A. NG?
I’m joining thе California National Guard soon аnd i wаѕ јυѕt wondering іf thеу wіll allow mе tο hаνе a medical cannabis card? It’s legal іn California, bυt i know thе NG іѕ state аnd federal. I wаѕ аlѕο tοld thаt dispensaries give discounts tο servicemen. Sο, thаt mυѕt mean thе army саn allow soldiers tο hаνе medical cannabis cards, rіght?
No, it maybe legal in CA but you will be governed by Federal laws while in the service.

So you want the Guard to allow you to use pot because you have a medical condition? If your medical condition is that bad you most likely need to be discharged.
If you pop on a piss test and then need to explain why, you are then going to need to show paperwork for your medical condition. After you do that you can assure yourself a med board.

No you cannot smoke Mary Jane for medicinal purposes and be in the National Guard. You can have a random drug test at any time and if you test positive you can receive a dishonorable discharge. It wouldn’t matter if you took it because you were allowed it medically or not. If you were allowed it medically then you wouldn’t probably be allowed in the military.
Any condition that might qualify for medicinal use of THC (glaucoma, cancer, etc.) would be disqualifying for military service. THC is still illegal under Federal law and your medical cannabis card isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on as far as the Army and National Guard are concerned. If you pop positive on a piss test, you’re busted. End of story! And if your "defense" is your MC card, tack on fraudulent enlistment for grins and giggles.

I do feel sorry for your fellow soldier counterparts though. Where the hell is your honor and devotion. If your worried about getting high get the hell out of the service. The military isn’t a last resort because you can’t keep a job. It’s a commitment and a lifestlye and non hacking dope smokers like you dont belong serving.
