Specifically, if a dental lab makes the crown no matter which dentist orders it, how important is it to have a good dentist?

Stupid question…
What sorts of procedures to dentist use to remove wisdom teeth?
Do they just pull out the tooth in the way?
Or is more surgical than that?
I have a dentist appointment in the morning, and am so scared that I know I will be up all night just thinking about it.
This happens every time I need to go to the dentist and I don’t know what to do about it. Please no rude answers– this is a real question/concern that is really impacting my life.
I am going to the dentist first thing Monday morning to have him look at what I am almost 100% sure is an abscessed tooth. I’m assuming that he will prescribe me antibiotics, but how long after first seeing me will he likely preform a root canal on the tooth? Is it possible that if I see him Monday, he will work on it by Wednesday? Obviously Thanksgiving is on Thursday, I have family plans on Friday and then I’m back to school on Sunday.
What are the chances of this? How soon will he work on it, most likely?
I am VERY afriad of the dentist, but I need some real work done. Can anybody tell me somebody that’s nice and kind?
Hellllllllla questions for ya:
1. What courses should you take in college in order to get into dental school/to become a dentist?
2. How many years after high school does it take to become a dentist?
3. What is the average starting salary of a dentist?
I have a dentist appointment tomorrow and they told me it’s an hour long appointment and they have to excavate and evaluate my bottom molar. What does this mean? I have really bad anxiety at the dentist so I am just trying to prepare myself for whats going to be going on. Can anyone help me figure this out??
At 30K/year of tuition, I am thinking about joining the military for a scholarship. But "realistically", how much can a dentist make the first four years? Is private practice even feasible right out of D school? Is the military scholarship worth it, given that they pay for all tuition and fees and give you a monthly stipend of about 00/month while in school in exchange for 4 years of service after graduation?
I know that it varies from state to state but how much does a Dentist generally make a year when starting off straight out of dental school? I live in wisconsin so if you can tell me how much they make here than that would be cool.
A dentist with 3 years experience in own practice in Peru, looking to become a dentist in California. What is the process?
Here in the U.S. we have seperate oral surgery offices from the regular dentist, but most of the professionals have a DDS degree, so why are they a seperate practice from a dentist?
Are you living in communist country, or do you know any body who does? Or can you help us with information on dentists living in communist countries in the past and/or present.
-What is their standard of living as a dentist?
-What is their monthly or yearly salary as a dentist?
-Their housing expenses or types of houses?
-Their transportation/nutrition expenses per year or month?
-What is the cost of their healthcare and can they afford it?
I cannot qualify for carecredit because of bad mistakes on my credit. Is there a good dentist in the area that takes payments without running a credit check? Preferably in the beaverton or aloha area?
Saw my dentist last night on my implants on 8/9. He is sending me in to the periodontist to check the lingual on teeth 7/8/9. What is that and is it more pain and long term or an easy fix?
How much do Dentist start out at in NJ? Lets say there DMD is from a good school, like UPenn?
I am in a lot of pain. One of my impacted wisdom teeth is trying to erupt. My dental insurance will not cover anything until May of next year.
I am having a sharp, shooting pain in my head and ear- it has been going on for days and is hardly tolerable.
Is there ANYTHING the dentist can do to help me? I am pretty much broke so I can’t pay on my own- but I don’t think I can wait until May for help with this issue.
Insurance companies cover fluoride treatments at dentists’ offices, usually without question. Fluoride treatments are only recommended for people at high risk of tooth decay. 80% of all tooth decay occurs in 20% of the population, mostly lower-income Americans who never actually see a dentist. So, I wonder how many unnecessary fluoride treatments are bought and paid for by insurance companies and individuals?
My question: What is the total cost of all the fluoride treatments administered in the United States, paid by insurance, government programs and/or individuals?
Teeth are examples of solid matter. When you eat hot food or
drink cold water, your teeth will expand or contract depending
on the temperature inside of your mouth. What would a dentist
need to consider when filling a cavity?
I was at the dentist for a cleaning the other day, and he said that I had a small chip that we I should get taken care. He said something about something maybe separating???
It looks like a tiny chip on the outside of my molar.
I have insurance, but I still have to pay 20%.
I made an appointment and I forgot to ask what he is actually going to do. I am trying to figure out if this is going to be expensive or not.
An upper tooth has a huge hole, or for better word, cave.
What is the dentist likely to offer as a remedy ?
Would it be a filling or a veneer? And how can I make sure not to let them put amalgam, nor the toxic plastic, but whichever one is safe filling?
The crown blocks the x-ray, right? So how can a dentist tell if there is decay right under the crown?
Most people tell me that a dentist is not considered a doctor. How come?
When looking at an x-ray, what tells a dentist whether you need a root canal? Is one part of the tooth darker than other parts or something?
I’ve always wanted to be a dentist, but I also think I lack the discipline to make it through dental school. I think that an experience in the armed forces wll get me to the level of disciple I need to make it. My queston is what do I do to get any branch of the armed forces to train me as a dentist?
Also, I am looking for a general dentist who has enough sense not to try to do dental implants themselves but works with a specialist. Also, I am looking for a dentist who is genuinely concerned about my health and not just out to make money.
